Old World Market Customer Rewards Program Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the Old World Market Customer Rewards Program offered by Old World Market, located at 5129 N Broadway St, Chicago, IL 60640. By participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Program Overview
The Old World Market Customer Rewards Program is a loyalty initiative designed to reward customers for shopping with us. Participants receive immediate benefits upon sign-up, ongoing discounts, birthday rewards, and the ability to earn and redeem Loyalty Points on purchases at Old World Market.
2. Eligibility
The Program is open to individuals who are legal residents of the United States and at least 18 years of age.
Employees of Old World Market, their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children), and persons living in the same household as employees are not eligible to participate.
No purchase is necessary to join the Program, but participants must register to receive rewards and earn points.
3. Enrollment
Customers may sign up for the Program by:
Registering with a cashier in-store at 5129 N Broadway St, Chicago, IL 60640;
Signing up online at oldworldmarket.com;
Completing the Customer Rewards Program Registration Form, available upon request in-store.
By verbally providing personal information to a cashier for enrollment, you consent to being signed up for the Program.
A valid email address and phone number are required for registration. You are responsible for keeping your contact information current.
Enrollment is free, and only one account per individual is permitted. Accounts cannot be shared or transferred.
4. Rewards Program Benefits
Upon enrollment and throughout participation, customers are eligible for the following rewards:
Sign-Up Reward: A coupon for a free bag of Old World Market plantain chips (135g, sweet or spicy) will be attached to your customer account immediately upon sign-up. Redeemable in-store at your next visit.
Welcome Coupon: An email with a 5% off coupon for your next purchase will be sent upon enrollment. This coupon expires 3 days from receipt.
Birthday Reward: An email with a coupon for $10 off a purchase of $10 or more will be sent on your birthday. This coupon expires 1 week (7 days) after your birthday. A valid birth date must be provided during enrollment to receive this reward.
Loyalty Points: For every $1 spent in-store (excluding taxes, gift cards, alcohol, tobacco, lottery tickets, and other items prohibited by law or at our discretion), you earn 1 point. Each point is equivalent to 1 cent ($0.01) and can be redeemed on any in-store purchase.
5. Earning and Redeeming Loyalty Points
Points are credited to your account after each qualifying transaction is completed via our ECRS point-of-sale system.
Points can be redeemed at any time for any in-store purchase at a rate of 1 point = $0.01. Inform the cashier of your intent to redeem points at checkout.
Points have no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged except as outlined in these Terms.
6. Checking Your Balance
You may check your Loyalty Points balance by:
Asking a cashier in-store;
Emailing support@oldworldmarket.com;
Calling Old World Market at (773) 989-4440.
7. Coupon and Reward Details
All coupons and rewards are valid only at Old World Market, 5129 N Broadway St, Chicago, IL 60640.
Coupons cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions unless explicitly stated.
Lost, stolen, or expired coupons and rewards will not be replaced.
Rewards have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash.
8. Program Changes or Termination
Old World Market reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program or these Terms at any time, with or without notice, at our sole discretion.
In the event of Program termination, participants will have 30 days from the termination announcement to redeem accumulated points and active coupons, after which all points and rewards will be forfeited.
9. Opting Out
You may remove yourself from the Program at any time by:
Calling (773) 989-4440;
Emailing support@oldworldmarket.com;
Requesting removal in-store with a cashier.
Upon opting out, all accumulated points and unredeemed rewards will be forfeited.
10. Account Suspension or Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Program account if we suspect fraudulent activity, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
Examples include, but are not limited to, creating multiple accounts, manipulating purchases to earn points improperly, or attempting to redeem rewards fraudulently.
11. Privacy
Personal information collected through the Program (e.g., name, email, phone number, birth date) will be used to administer the Program and may be used for marketing purposes. By participating, you consent to this use.
Our Privacy Policy, available at oldworldmarket.com or in-store upon request, governs the collection and use of your data.
12. Limitation of Liability
Old World Market is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misdirected rewards, points, or communications due to technical errors (including issues with the ECRS POS system) or circumstances beyond our control.
The Program is provided "as is," and we make no warranties regarding its operation or availability.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes arising from the Program will be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
